| Good Points: | Palolem beach, Alessandra Resort |
| Bad Points: | beach dogs |
We spent 2 weeks here during Christmas time and wished we would have stayed 2 months! The setting is perfect, crescent shape beach, jungle of coconut trees, Arabian sea, golden sands and clear blue water!!! Stayed at Alessandra Resort in a beach hut, atmosphere very peaceful, you can hear the waves as you fall asleep and even had a bath tub in our hut! How cool is that!!! I would recommend Palolem beach to anybody coming to Goa or India.

| Bad Points: | quitter |

| Good Points: | walking from the Rajbag to Patnem and Palolem beaches |
| Bad Points: | hotel not on Palolem beach |
Palolem beach is located in the southern most part of Goa, approx. 1 hour from Dablim Airport. We were staying at the Intercontinental Hotel and very happy that Palolem beach was nearby. We walked from our hotel beach to Patnem beach and then to Palolem, about 1 hour walk. When we arrived in Palolem beach it was worth the walk! The beach is calm, clean and people don’t bother you like in north Goa beaches. We really like this beach a lot, one of the best beaches in Goa. Truly SUBLIME!

| Bad Points: | bars close early |
Stunning beach, stayed 2 weeks there. Stayed in beach hut on front line of beach surrounded by palm trees. Many restaurants and bars to eat and drink, but most close at midnight. Cool place to check out is Silent Noise parties on Saturdays. Great views, dancing and headphone music! Unique experience. Overall, great place to relax.

| Good Points: | beautiful beach, great food |
| Bad Points: | overcrowded, commercialized, garbage on beach |
Stayed here in March 2011. Looks like every bit of real estate on this beach has been taken! Wall to wall beach huts from north to south part of beach, not a very pretty site to look at. Overcrowded with tourist from all over the world and India. Getting too popular and commercialized. Good points… food and the beaching early in the morning.

| Bad Points: | crowded during Christmas time |
I first arrived in Palolem beach in monsoon 2004 and haven’t left since! Ok, I’ve left a few times during the years to visit family back in Canada but Palolem Beach Goa has now become home. So if you want the best review on Palolem beach, look no further!
Beach – if you really want to experience how special Palolem beach is, come here just after monsoon time.. late September to mid November. You get to see Palolem beach before all the beach huts and shacks come up for the season. The beach is crescent shape, about 100 meters wide and lined with coconut trees. On the north end of the beach is small river and Monkey Island… make sure you’re aware of the tide before crossing the river to the island. Monkey Island is small, rough path, overgrown jungle but you can see monkey’s here. The river is also lovely and don’t miss the short river boat ride for 200 ruppees. On the south end of Palolem beach, there’s also a small river and then a small cliff to walk over if going towards Colomb and Patnem beaches.
Recommended Palolem Beach Huts, Resorts and Hotels – Cozy Nook, Alessandra’s Resort, Ciaran’s Camp, Art Resort, Green Park and the Intercontinental Lalit Hotel / Resort on Galijbag beach.
Restaurants – Café Inn, Cheeky Chapati’s, Dropadi’s, Magic Italy, Casa Fiesta
Bars – Silver Star (Cocktails & Dreams), Café del Mar, Titanic, Alpha Bar, Cleopatra’s for pool
To do: Boat rides to Butterfly beach, Honeymoon beach, Dolphins viewing, kayaking, bicycle and motorbike rides, walking to Colomb, Patnem and Rajbag beaches. Oh yeah.. don’t forget sunbathing!
People from all over the world here, great place to unwind, enjoy the beach and some great western and local food after hard core India traveling. Just don’t forget to leave after 2 weeks or you might get stuck in paradise like me! :)
