| Good Points: | beach shacks, dogs, dolphin trips, seashells |
| Bad Points: | don’t walk too far down the beach |
When vacationing in Goa we always spend the majority of our time on the beach. Good resorts and beach shacks on Cavelossim beach with sunbeds and you get to watch the cows and dogs stroll by. I love the dogs, they are sooooo friendly… they just want some attention and a little food. Early morning you can take a boat trip to see dolphins, they are there every time!
Cavelossim beach is great for walking, at low tide you get find many beautiful seashells and the beach is endless.. remember to time how far you walk so you know how long it will take you to come back!

| Good Points: | Mobor, Cavelossim, Cola, Varca, south Goa beaches! |
| Bad Points: | running out of petrol :( |
In one day you can see all the best beaches in Goa. If you rent a scooter bike (200 INR per day) you can cover Mobor, Cavelossim, Cola and Varca beaches in one day. Our favorite is Mobor beach.. My husband and I did it, sure you can too!

| Good Points: | Mobor beach |
| Bad Points: | India Holiday Inn |
I have stayed at 2 Holiday Inn’s in India, in Manali – north India and Mobor south Goa and both times I was very disappointed. The quality of Holiday Inn hotels in India is dreadful compared to North America. Ok, I admit, in most places it is considered a 3 star hotel, 4 star in some major cities, and seems in India budget chain hotels do not work very well. Hotels are unkept, paint coming off walls, plumbing leaks and garbage outside rooms left for days.
Best part of my holiday to Goa was Mobor beach. Breathtaking views and you can walk up the beach for miles! Better to have food in the local beach shacks on Mobor and adjacent Cavelossim beach then hotel food. Better value for money.

| Good Points: | Leela hotel, mobor beach, Riverside restaurant |
| Bad Points: | no negative points |
We arrived at our hotel in Goa on a real high from our wedding just craving a romantic honeymoon on the beach. We stayed at the Leela Hotel on Mobor beach in south Goa and had a mind blowing experience!!! From the moment you walk into the lobby and see the enormous Buddha statue it feels like you’re in a different world. We had amazing Villa Suite room on the Lagoon surrounded by lush gardens, room service staff was great and pizza at the ‘Riverside’ Italian restaurant made me feel like I was in Rome.
Mobor beach is stunning, sea warm, beach is wide, coconut palms scattered around and water sports available, but it can get can get crowded with tourist from other Mobor / Cavelossim beach hotels during peak season. Having dinner at Riverside, taking a walk afterwards along the river watching the fishing boats go by and then ending up on Mobor beach has to be one of the most romantic moments of our honeymoon!
