| Bad Points: | bumpy dirt road leading up to Cola beach |
I highly recommend a day trip to Cola beach in south Goa. Our family was staying at a beautiful beach resort in Palolem beach during our holiday’s and we met a very friendly restaurant owner who told us about many wonderful day trips about the area. Go to Café Inn for the most refreshing ICE coffee slush in Palolem beach and talk to Sharon and his staff about the area!!! Friendly atmosphere, a/c bar for hot days and great café style food!!
We rented 2 scooter bikes, each 200 rps per day and took one of the most breathtaking drives through villages, jungles, hills until we arrived at equally impressive Cola beach! 3 places on the beach, middle one is most popular with large desert tents and good restaurant. Place to the left is basic and if you walk north on the beach there’s a private resort located there.
There’s a beautiful lagoon in the middle of Cola beach which runs into the sea. Special place, sublime setting in paradise really!

| Good Points: | beach hut tents, food catered from Cheeky Chapati’s! |
| Bad Points: | no electricity, only generator power for a few hours after sunset |
Good friends of ours decided to get married in Goa this year and had an amazing wedding and reception on Cola Beach. Thanks to LJ and Daz from Cheeky Chapati’s in Palolem beach and the Wedding planners; Tabitha and Mark for recommending this place. Truly out of this world!
From the moment you drive down the dirt road to Cola beach you feel like it’s a lost paradise. As you walk down the path you see a few Luxury tents scattered around, a beautiful blue lagoon in the middle and the gorgeous Arabian Sea. This place is littered with coconut palm trees, unspoiled nature at its finest! We were lucky enough to have the entire beach resort rented for the wedding so basically had the beach to ourselves except for a few tourist staying at some beach shacks nearby. Did I mention there’s no electricity here? No worries about Indian blackouts.. only generator power for a few hours after sunset. Can paradise get better than this?
