| Bad Points: | gets very hot in March |
If you looking for a great place to chill out, see amazing sunsets and experience laid back Goa India life.. then look no further than Morjim beach! Very relaxed atmosphere, life here almost at a turtle’s pace! :) Morjim beach is also a nesting site for Olive Ridley turtles. If you lucky enough to see them hatch and crawl to the sea, come between November and March.

| Good Points: | Sushumna Yoga, Morjim beach |
| Bad Points: | service at guesthouse very slow |
Wow! Always dreamed of practicing yoga in a beautiful tropical location close to a beach, and now that special moment has come true!!! ? I was looking at places in Greece and Thailand to practice yoga but prices were way out of my budget. What better place to practice yoga than in India and after reading some travel reviews I decided Sushumna Yoga in Morjim beach Goa was the place for me.
I wasn’t disappointed! From the moment you arrive in Goa / India life changes very quickly, you are transported into a tropical paradise of times past… A mix of the old and new passes you by and you become very curious to see where you will end up next! The adventure begins…
Stayed at Montego Beach Village in a fantastic tent accommodation on Morjim beach near the sea! Tent was basic but clean and bed comfortable. And having the sound of the waves put me to sleep at night was heavenly! ?
Practicing yoga at Sushumna Yoga nearby to the guesthouse was a life changing experience for me. The instructors were wonderful, authentic and learned more than I could have imagined.
And the best part… Morjim beach!! Almost deserted at times, feels like you have an entire beach to yourself! Beautiful blue water, white sand and great for sunbathing. And the jungle of palm trees around confirms that you are in paradise!
"Big Chill Festival @ Morjim Beach Goa!"
| Date of Stay: | April 2007 |
| I am from: | Germany |
| Travelling Style: | Group of friends |
| Good Points: | festivals, beach, dolphin trips |
| Bad Points: | not many hotels |
Was traveling with friends in 2007 all across India and found out UK Big Chill Festival was coming to Goa. The venue was on Morjim beach in north Goa… great place to have a festival! The backdrop of the main stage was the Arabian Sea, an amazing beach and the most beautiful sunsets. Then we saw Mad Professor, Norman Jay, Coldcut, etc.. playing and the place was full of tourist from all over the world/India dancing the night away for 3 days! Met some great people and had the best time.
But we did have trouble finding accommodation when we arrived since all the hotels in north Goa were full due to the festival. We almost had to sleep on the beach when a room opened up at the La Vaiencia Beach Resort right in Morjim… with a swimming pool… We were lucky and we knew it! Festival next door, beautiful beach in front, swimming pool downstairs, great Indian food and hotel staff were really nice. Nothing more we could ask for!
Morjim beach itself is gorgeous… it stretches for a few kilometers, at sunrise and sunset you can take a boat trip to see dolphins, there’s also a protected turtle nesting area and the beach is almost deserted. And it’s not too far from Anjuna and Baga beaches. Really nice place…. Will come back!
