Main Attractions and Sites (in and around the beach)
If you ask anyone for what is Baga Beach, Goa famous there would be only one answer – water sports. You have the water scooters with powerful Yamaha motors tempting you for a ride; you have parasailing, you have the tame 30-seater boats, and you have the banana boats which will have you in splits – literally.
The banana boats are long round inflated rafts on which 8-10 people would take a ride straddled across it. This is pulled by a motor boat off Baga Beach, Goa a little deep into the sea and maneuvered in such a way that all the 8-10 banana float riders fall into the water. Wearing life jackets there is no risk involved – but the thrill is intoxicating.
For dance and party time check out the Tito’s which is the most happening club this end of Goa. Entry for women is free; men and couples are charged.
While you are here check out the backwater crocodile and dolphin spotting places down the River Mandovi.

"Excellent holiday in Goa, can’t wait to come back!"

| Good Points: | Baga beach sunsets, Goan style crabs, Sun Village |
| Bad Points: | culture shock arriving in India… but you get over it once you arrive in paradise! |
Have to admit, wasn’t sure what to expect from Goa or India but I was not disappointed! Just got back from 2 weeks in Baga beach and stayed at the Sun Village and had an excellent holiday! Met some wonderful people, hotel staff was brilliant and helpful beyond words. Room was spacious, clean, overall facilities well organized and food at hotel restaurant delicious. Swimming pool was refreshing and clean everyday as well.
Baga beach is only a 20 minute walk away.. or free shuttle bus from hotel provided. Baga beach is stunning, nice waves, sand and the sun sets into the sea every day! Great beach shacks for fish, crabs, lobster, prawns and drinks. I recommend Xavier’s for Goan style Crab curry. Good entertainment all around. Just a really good buzz about this place and can’t wait to be back next year!

| Good Points: | Britto’s shack for brunch |
| Bad Points: | toooo expensive |
I visited Baga beach with family and friends during New Year’s Eve time and had the time of my life! The beach is clean, water and sand beautiful, sunbeds (good for lying down, but no need to tan!), masseurs, drinks and the best watersports!!! Very popular beach because of all the foreign tourist but becomes tooooo expensive for Indian tourist! Lots of places to get ALCOHOL and cheap too. You can rent motorbikes for 200 INR, get petrol at any shop and ATM’s everywhere. At night time you can catch some music and fire shows on the beach and all the beach shacks serve amazing seafood bbq. Best shopping is off Baga/Calgangute beach roads, clothes, bags, jewelry and cosmetics. Best places are Britto’s for brunch, Tito’s for drinks and Café Day for ice coffee!
"Baga Beach to Palolem beach and back, and back… "

| Travelling Style: | Group of friends |
| Good Points: | partying in Baga beach, relaxing in Palolem beach |
| Bad Points: | taxi drive back and forth |
I’m originally from Canada, my parents are Tibetan from Delhi and been staying in Goa for the 2011 season. Lots of friends from Canada have been visiting me in Goa over the past few months and I’ve established a travel routine. Relax in Palolem beach and party in Baga! Palolem is great place to chill out on the beach, but if you want to party… then go to Baga beach. Always end up at Tito’s, but many other cool bars to check on main Baga beach road. The only hassle with all this is the taxi ride, about 1500 INR from Baga to Palolem. Best to bargain yourself with taxi driver, hotel taxi prices are much higher.
Cool water sports to enjoy on baga beach like paragliding, jet skiing and banana boat rides! :) :) :) :)

| Good Points: | Beach shacks, seafood, sunset drinks |
| Bad Points: | beach sellers |
Been to Goa a number of times now and simply enjoy staying in Baga beach. Place is energetic, especially during the holiday season and weekends. Great beach shacks for seafood and sunset drinks. Great places to stay in the area, lots of clean / comfortable hotels near the beach, and food is safe to eat here.
"Baga beach, everything you can ask for in a beach…"

| Good Points: | baga hotels, restaurants, bars, service |
| Bad Points: | watch out for taxi’s and buses on the roads |
Been to Baga beach 4 times now and it has everything you can ask for in a beach. Excellent variety of 3 to 5 star hotels in Baga, restaurants, bars, night life, water sports and lovely people. Just a fab place to relax in paradise and be served like a king too. Keep coming back year after year… just love this place.
"Good party atmosphere"

| Good Points: | Tito’s, Kamaki bar, Lilla Café |
| Bad Points: | walking back to hotel late at night |
If you like to party, then come to Baga beach. Big party crowd here from India all over the world. Main Baga road is full of bars… check out famous Tito’s on the beach and Kamaki bar for good music and dancing. Best to stay on Baga river road side, more quiet at night time.
"Just don’t get it!"

| Travelling Style: | Family & Kids |
| Good Points: | leaving north Goa |
| Bad Points: | baga beach, especially hawkers |
Just don’t get it really… Baga beach and north Goa in general is not a very pleasant place to visit. Beach is dirty, endless rows of sunbathing chairs, hawkers hassling you non stop, overpriced, people spitting all around you, smells, loud and its overcrowded.
I much prefer south Goa, much more relaxed and people more friendly too. Agonda beach is the place for me and my family!
