| Good Points: | sunrise yoga, Famafa Resort |
| Bad Points: | that I don’t live here! |
My favorite beach in Goa by far is Arambol beach, it has everything you can ask for! The Arabian sea, beautiful white sand, palm trees swaying, secluded spots on the beach, sunrise or sunset yoga, simple beach huts, fantastic restaurants / food, and great places to hear great music hang out, chill or dance. Arambol beach is the best, no need to think of anywhere else to go!

| Good Points: | beach, sunsets and pizza at Fellinis |
| Bad Points: | crowded during peak season |
There’s something about Arambol beach that makes you feel like its your home away from home in paradise. Arambol beach is great for swimming and taking long walks. Nice range of restaurants here, from Goan, Indian to western dishes and my favorite by far is the pizza at Fellinis. Many activities happening here too, yoga, spiritual retreats and live music. Depending on the time of year, it can get busy.. best time to go October, November and March, April.

Stopped in Arambol beach for 3 days to relax from our travels in Rajasthan and Varanasi. My friends wanted to spoil ourselves and stay at the Taj Exotica in south Goa for a night, but I convinced them otherwise and they haven’t stopped thanking me ever since! Stayed at God’s Gift Guesthouse, a blessing in disquise really… clean, comfortable and cheap rooms. Arambol beach itself is stunning and a beautiful refreshing lake merges into the sea at the south end. Nice spot if the sea gets too hot! Lots of tourist from all over the world here, especially Russians but a nice chilled out vibe. Great food, cheap, and best Goa beach to relax after hardcore India traveling. BTW, compromised with my friends and stayed at the Intercontinental Hotel in south Goa while visiting Palolem beach. Very different experience to say the least! But think I’ll come back Palolem beach and stay in a different beach resort next time.

| Good Points: | Arambol music academy, Surf club, nightlife |
| Bad Points: | far from Baga beach |
Heard about Arambol (Harmal) beach through a friend and was always intrigued to check it out. I play drums in local Manchester band and came down to play in a few 5 star Goa hotels around Anjuna beach during Christmas time. We jammed with some excellent Indian and western musicians and was invited to play in some shack somewhere in Arambol beach… think it was called the Surf Club? I just couldn’t refuse! Fantastic experience, met some great people and came back this year to take a month long Tabla course at the Arambol Music Academy. Proper musicians here and did I mention that Goa beaches are out of this world too! North Goa is top!
"Arambol beach and the sacred lake"

| Good Points: | beach, lake, yoga, shopping |
| Bad Points: | lots of tourist |
The locals say when the sea and a lake merge, it very sacred and spiritual. This place is truly special, both Arambol beach and lake next to it are simply amazing… this is paradise found! Nice place here, lots of yoga, meditation and spiritual stuff around. No big hotels, only beach huts and guesthouses here and there. Arambol beach has a nice little village, good shopping on the main street and good bargains to be found. Great day trip from Calengute / Baga beach… but better if you stay there for a few days to really get a good feel of the place.

| Bad Points: | that i'm not there now! |
Best beach in Goa? Some say south Goa, Palolem, Agonda and surrounding beaches, but I say extreme north, Arambol beach!! Stayed here a few years ago on my way to Hampi and just could not leave :) Amazing beach, beautiful people, great food, good value for money and just lots to do and see here. Definitely more of a Goa backpacker hangout.. now staying at the Marriott Hotel in Panjim on business.. How I wish to be back to my hippie traveling days!
