"Best beach holiday in south Goa!"

| Good Points: | Majorda beach / resort / dentist / shops |
| Bad Points: | Hotel casino |
My wife and have been traveling regularly to Marjorda beach for years now, and have nothing but positive reviews about this place. Majorda beach resort is an excellent 5 star hotel, some might consider it a 4 star compared to other Goa hotels, but the beach, property and overall mood of the place definitely makes it 5 star! Wasn’t overly impressed with the casino, did lose every time I went which wasn’t too often in the end! :)
The hotel has its own private beach on Majorda beach itself, so nobody bothering you trying to buy something you clearly don’t want!
Majorda village nearby has a good variety of shops, jewelers, tailors, supermarket and even a dentist! Paid less than 5 pounds to have my teeth cleaned and very friendly dentist too, ask for Lisa.
Best of all Majorda is conveniently located, stunning drives along the coastline to Palolem beach and not too far from the historical forts and churches of Old Goa and the vibrant north Goa nightlife.

Not much to do in Majorda beach but except beaching, swimming, shopping, eating and partying. What more can you ask for? Especially when Indian Airlines loses your luggage!

| Good Points: | Vivenda Dos Palhacos, Zeebop |
| Bad Points: | jet ski’s, no beach umbrella’s |
Recommended to us by friends from NY, while traveling from through India we stayed at a awesome B&B near Majorda beach in Goa called Vivenda Dos Palhacos. The brother and sister team, Charlotte and Simon are great host, the staff super friendly and overall atmosphere of the place is blissful.
Since we live in the Rocky Mountains, our #1 priority while vacationing in Goa was the beach.. a very pleasant 15 min walk from the hotel through small village is Majorda beach. Majorda beach is wide, flat, the waves small enough for swimming, life guards on the beach and with palm trees swaying back and forth, it just feels like you’re in paradise. The water jet ski’s from neighboring 5 star hotels can get annoying at times, but people rarely use them. 1000 rupees for 20 minutes I was told! There’s a few beach shacks around to get water if needed and also great place to a enjoy a sunset drink is at Zeebop’s further up the beach. Ask Charlotte where to buy a beach umbrella… there’s not much shade on the beach in Goa and it can get hot!
