| Trip Style: | Romantic/Honeymoon |
| Good Points: | Best location, wonderful beach, helpful staff, good food, nice rooms, pool good, water sports lovely |
| Bad Points: | Taxi very expensive |
We were got from airport and taken to hotel. They gave us cool napkins to wipe face because was hot. That was very nice and we felt very special. We had choice to choose of 3 rooms, which was nice. The best was the chef because he always did what we said. Manager also helped. The chef gave whatever we wanted. Food was delicious. We also loved the evening entertainment with caraoke and all. Everything in this hotel was wonderful.
The beach was clean and very quiet – just the right place for us. No hawkers, nobody to disturb, no problems.
We also learned a little yoga as they give classes every morning. I loved the place. My wife loved the place. We will surely come back here. Superb place for lovers.

"I LOVED MY VACATION HERE!!"

| Good Points: | Nice staff, good rooms, great buffet, nice pool |
| Bad Points: | No shacks on the beach, the casino and discotheque they have is not up to the mark, taxis very costly |
The place is private enough to give you the most relaxed and sweet holiday. Its activity room and golf course would keep you entertained for as long as you like it. The buffet food was too good though a little expensive. The hotel is removed from the city for which you would depend on taxis – which charge exorbitant prices. The service was good – though sometimes a little slow.
They dropped us in a very comfortable large air conditioned cab – which is more than I expected.
I enjoyed every minute I spent here.

"GREATEST BEACH AND LOCATION!! POOR HOTEL!!"
| Date of Stay: | August 2010 |
| I am from: | Melbourne, Australia |
| Trip Style: | Family & Kids |
| Good Points: | Beach well maintained, golf course, good pool, good seafood |
| Bad Points: | Not too clean rooms, TV was old model, no free Internet, service horrible |
We stayed many time at Leela – which I would say is the best 5-star hotel I ever stayed at. This place says it is 5-star, but honestly is nothing more than 3-stars hotel. We found the aircon too noisy and the smell of the room (oddly musty) unpleasant. We changed 4 rooms – and the smell was there in every room.
The TV was very old model – while all other star hotel offer Plasma TV – and surprise, surprise ! There were no kids channels. This was really a bad thing for the children were very disappointed.
I would say that this not a hotel where I would return for they charge 5-star rates, but offer much less service for it.

"Magnificent Place!!"

| Trip Style: | Family & Kids |
| Good Points: | Self-sufficient place, secluded, private beach, awesome breakfast, courteous staff, best ayurvedic massage I ever got, free airport transfer, yoga classes great idea |
| Bad Points: | Expensive Internet, disappointing casino, taxi too costly, bathrooms need better maintenance |
I loved this place. We came for a weekend vacation with our three-year old daughter and we really had plenty of fun. The best we liked about this place is its seclusion. It is like it is tucked it somewhere specially for lovers.
It has all you need right inside the hotel, so you do not need to step out. The beach is private and just superb. For those who want to stay only on the hotel premises, the pool is as good.
We took yoga classes in the morning and we loved it. We also had TOO MUCH FUN on the beach with the parasailing and stuff. The water sports is a great attraction this end.
Food was good – especially the South Indian breakfast. Both a-la-carte and the buffet are on the higher side – but we enjoyed it. Especially, since it takes too much trouble to go out for dinner. A special word of thanks to the Front office staff, Connie who went out of her way to ensure that our daughter was always safe and well fed.
We were taken deep into the sea to see dolphins – an unforgettable experience for us.
SUPERB place. I would definitely come again!!

"Dream Vacation !!"
| Date of Stay: | July 2010 |
| I am from: | Gurgaon, Delhi |
| Trip Style: | Romantic/Honeymoon |
| Good Points: | Superb food, good service, pool good, staff excellent, close to beach, beach splendid, spa was superb |
| Bad Points: | Taxis are too expensive, hotel charges for sightseeing almost double than private tour operators, |
We had a pleasant flight on Kingfisher and we were whisked away from the airport in a spacious Innova. The staff were pleasant and welcoming, and the rooms were okay. Actually we upgraded our rooms since the standard ones were too small in size.
We had opted for the buffet food, which we found okay. Specifically loved the sea food, though it was not cooked the way you expect the dish to be cooked.
The hotel organized for us to see dolphins – a trip that invited a fee of INR 800 per person. Later, I found that outside operators charge about INR 400-500. The taxis also overcharge, so make sure you know the real tariff for the distance you are travelling before asking for a taxi.
The staff was attentive and nice to us all the time – which we loved. Someone told us they have a 18 hole golf course; in reality they have a 9 hole one – and it is good. Rooms are lovely, comfortable and clean. The bathroom could do with some makeover.
We loved the beach the MOST – private, languorous, beautiful and peaceful. No hawkers!! We spent so many evening just walking hand in hand during the evenings on the beach watching the sunset.
This place is designed for honeymooners!!

"TOTALLY AVOIDABLE EXPERIENCE!"
| Date of Stay: | September 2010 |
| I am from: | Bangalore, India |
| Trip Style: | Family & Kids |
| Good Points: | Private beach |
| Bad Points: | Service pathetic, rooms terrible, food yuk, pool a joke, casino another joke, expensive, Internet is charged, bad smell in the room |
Booked online because we felt that we could not go wrong with a 5-star hotel and things looked good on the Net. The hotel is far from what you see on the Net. The rooms are small and dingy. The smell is horrible and the housekeeping mentioned that it is because the A/C was not maintained well.
The food is gross – whatever you ask for it is not what you want. The buffet is dull and very basic. It takes about 15 minutes for the waiter to get you water!
The only thing I liked was the beach – it was clean, it was private and it was good for swimming (not too far in the water, though). That is the only thing I liked.
I somehow got the feeling that the staff are keener to wait on the foreigners than Indians for the tips. I do not think I will come back to this hotel ever again. This is definitely not what I expected from a 5-star hotel.

"An OK Place!"
| Date of Stay: | September 2010 |
| I am from: | Oslo, Norway |
| Trip Style: | Romantic/Honeymoon |
| Good Points: | Food superb, rooms good, activity center good, superb sea view, 18 hole gofl course (WOW!), pool bar was cool, beach great |
| Bad Points: | Casino sucks, TV set ancient, bathrooms are beat, taxi fare very high, orders keep getting mixed up |
The best of the place are the rooms – superb view. We liked the place as it is well maintained and looking good. The service is okay; meaning the staff are friendly but very often incompetent. They kept mixing up orders and the food came in installments so we finished one item while waiting for the second item ordered. Indian food is very good.
We also loved the beach – it was clean and had no sellers which was such a relief. I liked the place, though it could be much, much better. It is definitely not 5-star standards; more like a 3 star perhaps.
It is an okay hotel; not really sure that we would like to return here.

"A GREAT VACATION!!"
| Date of Stay: | August 2010 |
| I am from: | Delhi, India |
| Trip Style: | Leisure |
| Good Points: | Clean, beautiful view rooms, secluded, superb entertainment facilities, great service, private beach |
| Bad Points: | Too far from the airport (90 minutes), expensive food, far from city, Internet too costly |
We liked the place for the hotel is beautiful. We came a far away from the airport to check in the Ramada Caravela Beach resort. It would be good is you would ask for transport when you book your room. We had booked ours online and somehow missed this aspect. We found the room basic but comfortable. The pool is a little small, but clean and well maintained. The Indian food is good, but stay away from the continental for it is a mess – and quite pricey.
We were surprised to find that the Internet is prohibitedly expensive. That was a great let down. The place is also too far from the city to take a stroll and search for fun, bars or shops. Too much dependency on taxi travel.
We loved the beach which is private and very clean. The service is also great with the staff always wanting to do your bidding. This is a great find for honeymooners who want luxury and seclusion at the same time. My girlfriend hated it for she could not enjoy the night life as much as she would have wanted. The place is good, but next time we would seek a place closer to the city.
