Vivanta by Taj - Fort Aguada, Goa

Just a marvelous Holiday at a superb location with GREAT spa place - we both got so "comfortably numb" a moment after we were picked up from the nearby airport and landed at this beach resort, we on't know if it was India, Goa or this luxury beach resort... but in Goa we found what "Shanthi" is! I wish I could stay the same back home too ;-)

Where else can you wake up in the sound of the waves? The view is so phenomenal here that my wife prolonged our stay by 4 days. This luxury hotel is expensive by all means, but then it is a 5-start property and Goa is not as cheap as it used to be hei?... Check out the Sunset Point for some out of this world experience.

For food you can eat at the Taj Hotel but you will get the best at the Tony’s beach shack, which is right on the beach. Food is fresh and so cheap comparatively that you will want to laugh or cry ;-)

We stayed in the hotel for about 12 days and I could not find fault with anything other than the beach. This is a hotel that we both fell in love with.

Hip Hip Hooray Taj Fort Aguada!

I am coming here maybe for the 20th time. I am a forever client of this hotel and I love it so much. I do not think you will find a better hotel in Goa. Everything is not only good it is VERY GOOD!!!!

There can never be another place for me when I am in Goa! Only this Taj will do for me.

For a Taj the maintenance of this hotel leaves to be desired. I would say it needs huge renovations urgently. Bathrooms walls are pealing and leaking, rooms are gloomy, the magnetic cards keep getting stuck.

Food too is hopeless and so shockingly expensive. Nothing 5-star about the food. We discovered a small restaurant in Baga that charged 1/10th of the price Taj was charging and the food was fresh and very well prepared.

What we found good was the service. The staff are beyond ay reproach. Well trained, courteous, helpful and very attentive. If I would come back it would be only because of the lovely service we experienced.

Could be much better if maintenance was better.

My wife and I came for brief holiday on recommendation of my sister in law who visits this Goa Taj hotel regularly. We were pleasantly surprised by the excellent maintenance of this Goa beach property and superb hospitality extended to us.

Since we had problems with the food, the Chef himself came and offered to make specific dishes as per our liking. That was a superb touch. I have never seen such service anywhere.

The sea facing villas are luxurious to say the least. The view literally took our breath away. SUUUUPPPEEERBBB!!

Since we were celebrating our 15th anniversary, the hotel staff made some lovely arrangements for our first night stay with bubble bath with rose petals in it; bed decorated with small jasmine flowers, and a delicious chocolate cake. We were both very touched.

The private beach is not so clean, but better than other beaches we visited. This hotel is costly but if you asked us, we would say it is worth every penny.

Expensive hotel. That is the first thing that hits. But then you will agree that service deserves it. Staff are great. There is nothing more beautiful than having a drink at the bar while watching the waves breaking on the shore.

The food was a great disappointment. We were looking forward to some great Indian food. Not upto expectation and also very costly. Later found Souza Lobo on Calngute and had good meals. Small beachside shacks also give good Indian meals. Loved the squid curry at Baga Beach.

The hotel gives free shuttle to go to sister hotel Taj Village. Caravella is also very nice, food not so good.

It is good for a 5-star hotel. Has everything. Don’t have food here. Otherwise all is great.

I booked into Taj because it was highly recommended by two of my friends who visited Taj Goa last year at Christmas. The hotel is exactly as they said – 5-star facility. The seaview room cannot be compared to anything I ever saw...bellissimo!

I was looking forward to some great Indian food. Disappointed on this point. Food not so good. Better food at beach local restaurants though I do not know how hygienic is the cooking. They also have a very upsetting DJ.... I found Mombos so much better!

One thing I have to say about this hotel – the hospitality is world class. I was pampered and waited upon hand and foot for which I am going back with some great remembrances in my heart. There is no doubt that when I come to India next, I will come to Taj again.

We had come to this Taj hotel for a weekend getaway. We were four of us bachelors and two couples and kids. As a big group we were looking for great fun and enjoyment and have to say that we got all we wanted and more from this hotel.

We were surprised to see that the rooms still had old style TVs where now LCD are very common in 3-star and above hotels. Also, we found the rooms a little small in size. Aside from these points, you cannot find fault with this Taj. The location is superb, the seaview rooms are worth every penny and the service you get here may be the best you will ever get.

One of the bathrooms had a leak when we checked in, but it was corrected within minutes from reporting it. Impressive. The food is good thought quite costly. Definitely have some Italian chow here. One of the best fares we had in North Goa. Restaurant staff very caring and attentive which makes you feel very good.

There is scope for improvement at places on maintenance; but overall this was one of our best holidays.

Hugely recommendable place!!!!!

We always stay at Taj wherever we go in India and we travel plenty. We love many places but Taj Fort Aguada Beach Resort is still our most favorite of all. The best thing about this hotel is definitely the staff and the warm atmosphere they create around you when you stay at the hotel. Housekeeping is flawless, property like in the movies and the staff behave as if they work for you.

Vincent of the food and bevearage department made it a point to see that we are satisfied with every meal we take. Anytime we wanted a change or something extra it was done without any delay or hassle.

We stayed in sea-view room and I cannot describe the thrill we felt when we woke up to the breathtaking view of the sea in the morning. You feel on the top of the world.

We had a 2 year old with us and we never had a bit of trouble also because of the help and cooperation from the staff. Whenever we needed something for the baby be it food, baby sitting or anything else staff responded instantly.

Wah Taj Wah!! Hamara Salaam!!!

From the start let me tell you I am a regular at this hotel. Why I keep coming back? The hospitality is awesome. Right from the moment I book the room until a leave the hotel the staff are on a mission to make my stay the most enjoyable ever.

I love this place because it is well maintained; everything is so impeccable and beautiful. I love the Italian food served here. I advise everyone to have a go at the seafood served at Moresco and Italian dishes at Il Camino. Don’t go for the Indian food for this not at all up to the mark.

I also liked that they share facilities with the Taj Holiday Village especially the spa and all. The best part is of course the staff who make your stay memorable each time you go without execption. Also have to mention the WOW Caravella buffet. Some experience here. A definite star attraction of Taj Fort Aguada.

Wholly recommend this hotel if you want your holiday to be AWESOME!!!
