Resort Terra Paraiso

Could not resist visiting Goa as a Portuguese and expected a lot of Portuguese influence in the food and architecture. While Goa is beautiful beyond compare, it has its own distinct identity which is very different from what I expected. The food too, has a distinct local flavor. I did find some superb exclusive Portuguese cuisine on the way to Baga Beach; but you won’t find Portuguese cuisine at the resort.

What the hotel had is a superb feel, friendly and warm staff and very cozy rooms. The beach is within walking distance which was one of the best advantages. I also loved the swimming pool which is small but very well maintained and refreshing.

Overall I found this place perfect in ambiance and just the type that will make your vacation from great to super great!!

This is a great place and I am so happy we found it. Though a little small in size, you would be amazed and at the same time delighted with all the amenities offered and its tariff.

We had come for only 3 nights and ended up extending it to 8 nights – doing nothing but lazing around the resort. It was a great experience for us – and I am sure that whoever goes there would totally fall in love with the place in no time.

Definitely like to advise everyone to go to this resort! It will simply delight you!!

Airport is too far – it takes about one hour to reach the resort, which even in the best of vehicles is quite trying. Once you reach there, the staff will make you forget all your troubles. They welcome you with a welcome drink and whiz you through check in to your room.

Rooms are very nice, too. Not too big but with a great pool view and very clean. I put cleanliness on the very top on the list with this hotel. I like the food served here, though I ate only on two occasions.

Did not like the place the hotel bus stopped for lunch while on sight-seeing tour. The ‘restaurant’ was shoddy and the food very bad. Even the beer was warm which was such a shame!

In the end if I have to describe this place, I would still say it was a great place. I would heartily recommend it to my friends, too!!

The resort looks great and feels great. However, the staff are not really trained well. We had a decent room with Jacuzzi in the bathroom – but we could not enjoy it to the fullest extent for no one came to show us how the blessed thing works. They did not give us blankets on the first day in spite of repeated requests. The breakfast is a joke.

On the good side, the food is good; the pool is great; and the place is indeed exceptionally clean – even for a place in Goa. This could easily the best thing about this resort, i.e. it is scrupulously clean and therefore very refreshing.

We visited in June when it is off season in this part of Goa. Nonetheless we took up the offer for a tour by bus only to find that even in June heat, the bus is not air conditioned. Could not enjoy the drip because it was too hot.

We booked this hotel online and we did not know whether we did the right thing or not until we saw it. Once we reached we were convinced that this was one among our better decisions.

Very peaceful rooms with pool view. They provide Saturday night live entertainment which is very good. Learned many Portuguese songs and Goan dances.

The room service is pathetic – they always needed to be reminded at least two times to deliver stuff. However, leaving these few things, everything was superb. We totally enjoyed staying here for everything in this place is delightful.

Too good!! Low cost star-hotel!! Definitely a must-go!!

Booked the place on the recommendation of friends. Have to say that the resort is indeed wonderful. The facilities are excellent. No complaints here. What bothered us is that we lost silver jewelry and we have a strong feeling that the housekeeping staff would have whacked it. Since we did not have proof (or were 100% sure that we left it in the room) we could not challenge the management, but we expected a more interested reaction when we discussed this matter with the staff.

Apart from this incident, there are no complaints. The place is amazing and for the tariff it charges the deal is great.

This is a great hotel for all the people who enjoy getting the most of their money. The resort is relatively small, but can give competition to larger star hotels in Goa. Too cool!

This is a small resort but a very comfortable and inviting place. The pool is beautiful and the rooms are well aired and very clean. Food is good, too. Did not like the breakfast for it was minimal and repetitive. Did not like the location – it is located on a very narrow road, which is not too easy to find from the main road.

Everything here is very refreshing – people, entertainment, accommodation, food. The resort is also very close to at least three beautiful beaches in North Goa.

Superb place – affordable, comfortable, lovable!! Definitely a place worth recommendation to others!

As a mother of two pre-schoolers I am always overly conscious about cleanliness and this is one place that I totally enjoyed because it was very clean. The food was good as well; and the kitchen always obliged when I asked a few kids-friendly dishes. Special thanks to Rudolph, the restaurant manager

We loved the swimming pool which is surrounded by trees and the almost private beach which is just about 5 minutes away. The management organized live performances on Saturdays, which was very entertaining.

The property is very well maintained – but some more precautions would be needed before the whole place is completely child safe. However, the staff were very friendly and helpful and always at hand when needed. They even negotiated taxis and organized tours for us at no extra cost or obligation.

Enjoyed our stay a lot and we plan to return next year to the same resort. This is a great find for us!!

I booked this place online and had a little apprehension initially about my decision. Need not be though. The Resort is amazingly beautiful and very welcoming. Though a little difficult to find initially, you come to love its location which is about in the middle between Calangute and Candolim.

They have a beautiful pool where they offer the option to serve dinner with live band, which is very romantic. The rooms are spacious and the bathrooms WOW! All this for a very reasonable tariff.

The food is decent; thought that breakfast menu can be improved a little as it can become very repetitive. The staff are great – but then most of the Goan hotels have superb staff.

THIS PLACE IS TOTAL VALUE FOR MONEY!! LOVED IT!!

Was gifted a honeymoon package by my parents and we simply LOVED IT. The place is very sweet and inviting; romantic too. A little away from the beach but still within walking distance. This gives enough privacy from typical tourist places and yet not too far from all the have-to-see-and-enjoy places in North Goa.

We found the food good; but we also found that outside it is cheaper and often better. However, everything else at this place is wonderful. Especially the staff who have made it possible for us to have the most wonderful time during our honeymoon.

You need to avoid the hotel taxis though for they tend to overcharge. Better go for regular taxis hired separately – not through the hotel.
