"NICE HOTEL!! "
| Date of Stay: | March 2011 |
| I am from: | Vienna, Austria |
| Trip Style: | Leisure |
| Good Points: | Great looking place, good rooms, large swimming pools, direct access to beach (WOW!!), buffet meals good, good garden to take a walk in, rooms very comfortable and well maintained |
| Bad Points: | Rooms are not sound proof, buffet does not serve too many Indian or local dishes, bathrooms need upgradation |
This is a comfortable hotel no doubt, but definitely not 5-star material. More like 4 star. The swimming pools are very refreshing and one of the best things about this hotel. The rooms are divided in “green view” and “sea view”. I wanted a garden view and found that the room shows only green lawn – no garden. When referred to the frontdesk, they said that for garden view one has to ask for sea-view room and pay more. ?
At the time I stayed at Kenilworth they had two groups of tourists who loved partying all night long with loud music, loud conversation and drinking all night long. Could not sleep too well for the noise was too much. Soundproofing the rooms would go a long way in ensuring the comfort of guests – and this is something one would take for granted in a 5-star hotel.
The beach is beautiful and the private access is really so cool! The staff can serve your meals/ snacks on the beach which is great. I loved this particular service for the beach is a beauty. I also enjoyed the fact that there were no hawkers around. While I realize that these people make a living from selling stuff – there is nothing more irksome while sunbathing than someone soliciting you to buy something that you never wanted in the first place.
I liked the hotel – but as I said I expected much more from a 5-star hotel that charges about 140 Euros per night. It could be much much better for the price and standard.

"OFF SEASON BONANZA!!"
| Date of Stay: | June 2010 |
| I am from: | Ahmedabad, India |
| Trip Style: | Family & Kids |
| Good Points: | Superb hotel, great location, superb swimming pools, lovely rooms, great staff, great activity are for children, good babysitting facilities, private beach, direct beach access, good food, very clean |
| Bad Points: | Food pricey, bathrooms should be better |
We went off-season on a discounted package and planned on having a relaxing time by the pool/ on the beach. We were three largish family with 5 kids ranging from 3 to 12 year old. The hotel has ensured that there was something to do for fun for each of us, including the children. Since this was off-season and there was nothing to do outside the hotel, this was exactly what was needed.
Staff was very helpful and caring. The babysitting facilities are tops. The swimming pools were good as well. We had parties organized by the pool with the help of the staff and had loads of fun. Seeing the children laughing happily enhanced the pleasure of the holiday manifold.
Food is good and we loved it. Felt it is a little high on the price, but both quality and quantity was great.
The best thing is that the hotel offers direct access to the beach. The beach is clean and safe and the hotel provides security when you go for a swim. Great arrangement. They also serve meals, snacks and/ or drinks on the beach which is great for off-season there are no beach snacks out there for this.
We enjoyed our stay very much. This was like our private bonanza. Would never hesitate to check in when next time in the area. Great palce!! Great memories!!

" COOOOOOOOOOLLLLLL!!!"
| Date of Stay: | December 2010 |
| I am from: | Boston, UK |
| Trip Style: | Family & Kids |
| Good Points: | Great place, very clean, luxurious ambiance, private beach free from hawkers and gawkers, great swimming pools, superb location, superb room view, sunken bar, superb spa |
| Bad Points: | Staff in the restaurant seemed to need more training, food could be better (for the prices) |
This is a luxurious hotel and you will feel it the moment you step into it. This is a good thing. Everywhere you turn it reminds that this is a 5-star hotel. Luxurious. Grand. Welcoming. Impressive. We loved it. We loved the spa, we loved the swimming pool. The best we loved the private beach it has without hawkers to disturb every five minutes and without worrying about people gawking at you while you sunbathe.
I strongly recommend the spa while you are at Kenilworth. The experience is unforgettable. Once in, you want to keep going back. The premises are full of greenery which is such a pleasure to the eye and it so calms your mind. The beautiful premises invite you to stay happy and enjoy your holiday.
The hotel is children friendly and the staff is very accommodative of small (and pest) children. My children are naughty and often test my patience; however, they did warm up towards the hotel staff which says a lot.
The food is good, but could be much better and the restaurant staff should be more trained. They come across as a total beginners though each one of them are friendly and always obliging. This is more a training thingy rather than attitude problem.
We loved the indoor swimming pool and so did the children. This is a great option when the heat is too much outside. The children had a lot of fun here and so did we.
The rooms are great with a mind blowing view. The beds are soft and housekeeping superb. We loved it that the linen was changed every day and it was impeccable. This is one thing that we expect from a 5-star hotel and we were not disappointed.
GOOD PLACE FOR AN ENCORE ANYTIME!!

"AWESOME HOLIDAY!! "
| Date of Stay: | January 2011 |
| I am from: | Jaipur, India |
| Trip Style: | Group of friends |
| Good Points: | They organize beach parties, great view rooms, superb beach close by, lovely swimming pool, great service |
| Bad Points: | Room service is pathetic |
The resort is on Uttorda beach – which is by far one of the most beautiful beaches of Goa. We travelled in a group of 8 people for a celebration vacation and the hotel organized a great beach party for us. They served foods and cocktails right on the beach and provided all comforts right there on the beach. Impressed by the service!!
The staff was courteous and always keen on pleasing us. The room service is quite slow but other than that everything else is superb. Food is really good though preposterously expensive. We also has food outside in beach shacks and found it as good!! And the cost was maybe 1/10th of the prices at the 5-star hotel.
The pool is the best feature of the hotel and we spent many evenings chilling out by the side of the pool with amazing seafood snacks and cocktails. This is a place that spells GREAT VACATION!!!
We all loved the Kenilworth especially for the very friendly and always obliging staff. WE HAD A TOTALLY AMAZING HOLIDAY.

"Seen better!! "
| Date of Stay: | February 2011 |
| I am from: | Vadodara, India |
| Trip Style: | Leisure |
| Good Points: | Rooms are nice, premises good, swimming pool is good |
| Bad Points: | : Too slow service, food is terrible, many facilities are in disrepair, the transportation is a huge rip off |
Stayed at many 5-star hotels in Goa and by far I found that this place has the slowest service ever. There are plenty good points about this hotel but the service kinds of kills the joy on it all. I thought that I would rather stay at a lower standard hotel than a 5-star that offers poor service.
The worst was that the transport is a total rip off. The hotel charges huge rates and it ensures that you get nothing cheaper around. The food is another great let down – for the prices they charge, they should definitely put in a little more effort in preparation, presentation and serving of the food.
Generally speaking this is a good hotel; but I definitely seen better!!
