" A VACATION LIKE NO ONE!"
| Date of Stay: | October 2010 |
| I am from: | Bangalore, India |
| Trip Style: | Family & Kids |
| Good Points: | Superb location, best beach ever, all inclusive menu is tops, good kids play center, staff best, Jacuzzi pool great |
| Bad Points: | Finding transport from resort is hair rising, a-la-carte menu in the restaurants expensive |
My husband comes here often with his buddies from office. As a family we have come here only twice in the past 3 years and both times I loved it. This time we had one bedroom apartment which was spacious and very comfortable for 5 of us – my husband, I and our 3 children.
The children loved it that the activity room has consol games besides the regular games. The kids area was great and the children could not have enough of it.
I loved the food in the hotel – we had an all inclusive package – but I loved it even more from the beach shacks outside.
The bad thing here is the taxi – you cannot move from this place without one and the taxis outside the hotel just wait for a chance to fleece you. The hotel should do something about that. This causes great inconvenience to guests.
Other than this place is a good as any 5-star luxury hotel in Goa. Loved our stay so much!

"EXCELLENT PROPERTY; HOPELESS HOSPITALITY!!"
| Date of Stay: | September 2010 |
| I am from: | Milwaukee, USA |
| Trip Style: | Leisure |
| Good Points: | Decent décor, rooms good, kitchenette attached, basic utensils provided, yoga sessions superb |
| Bad Points: | No beach view rooms, hotel management students interned at the hotel, front office staff high-handed; most staff too young and with attitude problems, taxis are terrible quoting any price they want for trips in town or excursions. |
The property is superb and we loved the place. The food was good too, and we appreciated the fact that the chef was always ready to make specific adjustments so we loved enjoyed our food best.
The housekeeping is excellent with people coming to clean every day and they clean well. Towels and linen were changed and we have toiletries changed daily.
The front-office staff however is another story. They are lazy, unmannered and at times totally hostile. We had invited a friend and his wife for dinner yet the guard refused to let them in saying that he suspected this was a taxi driver who is poaching for guests. The guard asked my friend to obtain permission for the taxi union to enter the hotel. This was totally ridiculous and shocking to us! In another incident, we found that a bill which was not ours was added to our total. On refusing to pay, the front-office people took a hostile stance instead of seeking out the waiter to served for that bill. After quite some hot exchanges, a lady from the management came and sought out the waiter who agreed that the bill was not ours.
This soured our vacation and thought we stayed for the period we booked, we will never return here. Not recommended at all!

"GOOD, BUT EXPECTED MUCH MORE!!"
| Date of Stay: | August 2010 |
| I am from: | Mumbai, India |
| Trip Style: | Family & Kids |
| Good Points: | Good property, courteous staff, lovely swimming pools, amazingly well maintained beach, food is great |
| Bad Points: | Reception people not well trained, very limited local cuisine on the menu, taxi charge huge fees |
The place is good, but for the money they charge which is at par with some of the best 5-star hotels, the reception should be more hospitable and fast. Taxis charge guests as they please and the hotel offers no alternative. They must be knowing that this is a major inconvenience since the resort is so removed from the rest of the city. Worse, we observed that most of the taxis carry the emblem of the hotel – which means they are hands in glove with them in ripping off the guests.
Children’s activities are good, but repetitive; children got bored from third day onwards.
The stay was enjoyable, but I expected it to be much better than this!

"AWSOME!! LOVELY!!! SUPERB!!! THE BEST!!!"
| Date of Stay: | April 2010 |
| I am from: | Jakarta, Indonesia |
| Trip Style: | Romantic/Honeymoon |
| Good Points: | 5-star hotel amenities, perfect beach, food spicy and good, spacious rooms |
| Bad Points: | Too small bathrooms, a-la-carte menu very expensive compared to buffet food, small shop at hotel charges high |
Stayed from 5 days for as part of our honeymoon trip and loved the place. The staff were phenomenal; they gave us all the attention and more. We enjoyed the spa so much. We stayed here in August and hence we could not enjoy the water sports and all that – but we still had plenty of fun on the beach and at the activity center.
The taxis are murder – for their charge 3 times the actual price. The seclusion of the hotel leaves without choice. The hotel should do something about this.
We loved the place for its offered all the privacy we needed; however, people who love night life, shopping and vacation fun might find this place a little removed and dull.
They have 2 pools and both are awesome. We also loved the gym though it has a limited range of equipments. The drinks are expensive here – better have your happy hours at bars in Goa
We enjoyed our stay very much – the resort is indeed 5-star level in comfort (and price). Definitely recommend it.

"A GREAT EXPERIENCE!! "
| Date of Stay: | August 2010 |
| I am from: | Northumberland, UK |
| Trip Style: | Leisure |
| Good Points: | Superb property, very clean beach, many beach shacks around, food is good at the resort’s restaurants, swimming pools superb, good gym, lovely breakfast with extra bacon at no extra charge |
| Bad Points: | Taxis charge exorbitant, location is good but too far away from any supermarket; reception is a little dull |
The place is cool! The room was impeccable – everything was so good I have no complaints. At breakfast you can ask for extra bacon at no extra charge – cool again! They have very good pool, but we chose the beach, which is clean and wonderful. You can enjoy all types of water sports during on-season.
They provide all toiletries and towels; but you will need to ensure you have all the things you need – say, shaving cream, moisturizer, sun screen and all such stuff for there are no shops around to buy these as and when you need.
The food is good, but you will save plenty if you eat outside – and we found that all the shacks around this place serve superb food. We loved Misha and Gloasants – but all are good.
Go for the excursion boat trip on River Sal – such a wonderful experience which has superb seafood lunch included – all for INR 750.
GREAT EXPERIENCE! AN UNFORGATABLE VACATION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"Lovely vacation!"
| Date of Stay: | November 2010 |
| I am from: | Mangalore, India |
| Trip Style: | Group of friends |
| Good Points: | Neat place, great swimming pools, good food, private beach – WOW! |
| Bad Points: | Electric appliances plugged in here tend to shock slightly; |
We arrived at the Madgaon railway station and they had sent a vehicle to receive us. When we reached we were welcomed with a welcoming drink and ushered to our room – actually a two bedroom villa which was lovely. I had a friend who stayed in the studio rooms and that was good as well, but our was much better.
Loved the beach – which is private and closely manned by Mahindra – and we spent most of our time there. The Dune shack serves food on the beach, which is WOOOW!!
The hotel charges almost as much as a 5-star hotel in Goa – but hey, it is great!!

"Great Place For Vacation!"
| Date of Stay: | November 2010 |
| I am from: | Mumbai, India |
| Trip Style: | Family & Kids |
| Good Points: | Round the clock rooms service is a first, offers many hobby classes |
| Bad Points: | Buffet food is boring and vegetarian oriented |
Club Mahindra lives upto its brand name – the place is superb, well maintained and staff well trained. The cottage style rooms are very comfortable and the kitchenette handy.
The food is good but overpriced. We had all our food – and WOW fresh seafood cuisine – from the beach shack in front of the Mahindra, called Misha. Swimming pools are fabulous – maybe the best part of this resort.
The children loved the clay making hobby classes and my wife got enamored with the stained glass classes. I think this is a brilliant idea.
The management organize beach parties which is another superb idea. They also serve food on the beach. The fun zone for children was an excellent addition. The children were delighted throught the stay.
I so much loved this place that we booked in advance for our next vacation.

"A FULL THUMPS UP VACATION!!"
| Date of Stay: | September 2010 |
| I am from: | Bangalore, India |
| Trip Style: | Family & Kids |
| Good Points: | 3 swimming pools, fully equipped kitchenette, excellent gym, secluded yet within reach of all fun, great beach parties organized by management, 3 restaurants all great |
| Bad Points: | Laundry is expensive and terrible, sometimes room service very slow; difficult to get a reasonable taxi fare; cell phone network very poor, buffet tends to be repetitive |
We reached after a 2 hour drive from the airport – exhausted. At the Mahindra however, we had fun. Plenty of it. That is all I remember off hand. This is a great place for families and large groups. The ambiance is very welcoming and the fully equipped kitchenette is a boon. The food at this place is good, but outside is better and cheaper. Check out the Glorious Restaurant a little down the road.
The children loved the little park they have for playing and I think that is a maestro’s touch to the amenities. I cooked often in the kitchenette and the children were happy – and I was happy.
Loved out stay here. Definitely would come back next year.
