"SUPERB HOTEL ON ALL FRONTS "
| Date of Stay: | July 2010 |
| I am from: | Walkden, UK |
| Trip Style: | Romantic/Honeymoon |
| Good Points: | Rooms, housekeeping, staff, food |
| Bad Points: | Could not find fault |
We were at this hotel when a largish group of Russian tourists descended on it very much like locusts. Most of them lacked manners and were a noisy lot but the staff and management of the hotel balanced the situation very professionally.
I am mentioning this because we loved our stay even more after the management took steps that other guests are not inconvenienced by the Russian group making space at the pool, watching over and intervening whenever guests were inconvenienced by the group.
Food was good and service superb. Poolside was somewhat obscured by trees, but we found that an advantage rather than disadvantage.
We could not find a fault with this hotel, which will tell you how good it is. Wholeheartedly recommend it!

"Fabulous Stay "
| Date of Stay: | August 2010 |
| I am from: | Stanford, UK |
| Trip Style: | Romantic/Honeymoon |
| Good Points: | Clean rooms, buffet style food, great pool, staff superb |
| Bad Points: | Too many trees around the pool not allowing for the sun to come through |
The hotel is decent in every aspect. I loved the rooms, I loved the food and I loved the staff. Having your eggs cooked in front of you for breakfast or seeing your steak stir fried for dinner is a great feeling. They also give the right exchange rate at this hotel.
I would advise you to have some fun on the beach haggling for the price when you buy something. Everything is stunningly cheap, but even so haggling seems to be custom here. Start with about half the price and settle for something like 70%.
If you like sightseeing and tours, I recommend John’s Boat Tours, which is reliable and offer some very decent prices.
We had a fabulous stay!

"Best time I had in Goa "
| Date of Stay: | January 2010 |
| I am from: | Adelaide, Australia |
| Trip Style: | Leisure |
| Good Points: | Clean, superbly maintained, great staff, free safety deposits |
| Bad Points: | No hair dryer |
If you are particular about hygiene, which can be a big bone of contention in Asian countries, this hotel is ace on all accounts. We loved the pool, the bar, and the food too. In fact, the hotel is so good I did not have anything to complain about.
Housekeeping is prompt and thorough. Rooms service might be a tad slow, but not enough to annoy you. Towels and linen are good – not impeccably white, but at least they are not stained.
When eating here, step out and be adventurous; the food is cheaper outside. Among the eateries I discovered and loved are Chocolati which is walking distance and serves superb coffee and carrot cake; Pete’s beach shack this is on Calangute beach (some 15 minutes by tuk tuk) , that serves superb salads and a wide variety of health food. While you are in Calangut also check out Friend’s Corner for mouth watering dumplings.
Definitely recommend this hotel.

"Almost 5-star facilities at budget price "
| Date of Stay: | August 2010 |
| I am from: | Nottingham, UK |
| Trip Style: | Group of friends |
| Good Points: | Good location, large rooms clean, eager to please staff, cheap, 5 minutes from beach |
| Bad Points: | None |
Enjoyed our 10 days stay at Victor Exotica. I think their service is as good as any 5-star hotel, the staff very courteous and efficient and the management always ready to do best so the guest feels welcome.
The restaurant serves excellent fare – especially the biriany, which is rice cooked along with prawn or chicken – and the price is quite reasonable. Local restaurants are cheaper than the hotel’s; for a meal for 2 and drinks you end up paying about £15. The beach shacks are a wonderful variation and we would recommend the Tidleware if you want to have a superb view and food at the same time.
The pool is beautiful and we found that they never run out of towels at this hotel, which is a BIG plus point. So many times, in other hotels, we were left without towels when we came late around the pool. Here both sunbeds and towels were always in plenty.
Loved the place; it is as good as any 5-star resort in Goa.

"Comfortable and friendly "
| Date of Stay: | April 2010 |
| I am from: | Delhi, India |
| Trip Style: | Group of friends |
| Good Points: | Free safety deposits, food, good location, vegetarian fare is decent, lovely swimming pool, superb pool bar, clean rooms |
| Bad Points: | Rooms quite basic (though nice) |
Spent 2 weeks here in April and found it very relaxing and nice. Rooms are quite basic, though large and well maintained. Local food is better and cheaper, but the hotel’s food is good too especially the seafood. I loved the location as it was close to all the action. I also loved the spa for the head and body massage.
Beach is within minutes walk and so are the shops. Food outside is fab. You need to try Friends Corner beach shack if you love momos and dumplings. There is also Bombras some 5 minutes walk that serves excellent Burmese food. WOW!!
The hotel is comfortable and I would definitely stay here again.
