"Great Family Resort"

| Good Points: | Superb place, amazing staff, great food |
| Bad Points: | Housekeeping should be better, |
If you want a superb place to relax with your family this definitely is the place to be. Just 20 minutes from Margao railway, this resort is warm and welcoming. We stayed in the off season and never expected much – but we were very pleasantly surprised by the pro-active approach of the staff to make our stay really comfortable and memorable.
They organized four city tours at concessional cost and a mindblowing private cruise on Mandovi River.
The food is great – stick to the Indian cuisine which is S U P E R B!! Since we went off season there were no beach shacks, but we did not miss it since the food served inside restaurants is superb.
We simply loved the place. LOVED IT!!

"Pathetic and very disappointing"

| Good Points: | The property is nice |
| Bad Points: | Terribly maintained rooms, no decent food, housekeeping sucks, hygiene appalling, service – what service??? |
We have travelled extensively in India and we come every year to Goa so this is not a review of “spoiled rich Americans”. The hotel really leaves a lot to be desired in many areas. We booked online villas because we were advised they are the best. Far from it. The rooms were basic, furniture worn out and tired. My children commented that it looked like lawn furniture!!
Food was terrible as well. The hotel does not serve anything between 3.00 – 7.00 PM and they do not allow you to bring in any outside food while you are around the pool – meaning you stay hungry until they deign to give you food.
The TV was outdated and most channels had no sound. The pillows and bedsheets were stained – which is definitely NOT acceptable from a hotel of this stature.
They charge for the WiFi and they provide computer if you want – but the charges are gross.
The rooms and especially the bathrooms - which by the way were hideous with mold and what not – were ridden by geckos and insects. Gross!
For the money they charge you can definitely get a far better fare elsewhere.

"Good Place!! "
| Date of Stay: | August 2010 |
| I am from: | Hyderabad, Pune |
| Trip Style: | Family & Kids |
| Good Points: | Good property, private beach, good room service, |
| Bad Points: | Grossly neglected, swimming pool attendant is a pain, no tube for children in the pool, seafood limited |
Staff are really caring and that is heartwarming. The Varca Poolside Villas are superb. We loved the food served, though we expected a better fare on seafood. The private beach is a big bonus as there are no sellers to pester you to buy stuff. However, we missed the beach shacks which is one the best highlights of Goa. Room service is good.
The swimming pool attendant was not trained well; there was always some problem at the poolside. They do not provide tubes for children – which is really bad.
They provide half day sightseeing which we did not like much – but no complaints here. Maintenance of the place is a big minus point. The hotel is grossly neglected. With a little care and sprucing up – this could become a goldmine for its owners and haven for its guests. I liked the place – it is good; but it definitely could be MUCH BETTER!!

"Perfect Location!! Gr8 vacation! "

| Good Points: | Comfortable rooms, superb staff, beach is amazing, pool is lovely, great room service |
| Bad Points: | Food is hopeless, bathrooms need maintenance |
We are a large family – with 5 children ranging from 3 to 15 and we always need a lot of attention. Here the hotel gets full marks for there was nothing that my wife asked for and she did not get quickly and exactly as required. I loved the service.
What I did not love was the food which was pathetic!! I did not like that the children could go into the swimming pool for there were no inflated tubes for them. We had to buy them so they could play in the water.
The bathrooms are very badly maintained – with stains and mold and a very peculiar old smell. The rooms were fine though – the view is super cool and overall the place is comfortable.
With a little attention this could a great place.
