"Great only if you stay at the premier rooms"
| Date of Stay: | April 2010 |
| I am from: | Yorkshire, England |
| Trip Style: | Family & Kids |
| Good Points: | Ideal location, close to plenty eateries, |
| Bad Points: | Pool is small, standard rooms are uninhabitable |
We had registered for two standard and one premier rooms for 10 days. We were shocked with the condition of the standard rooms. There was musty odor and unkempt look. We upgraded to premirer rooms and it was like we have entered a new world. Lighted, clean and airy. The difference in cost was about £200 but was so worth it. We were there during the volcanic ash problem and had to stay on for an extra 5 days, but once we got the premier rooms everything was smooth sailing.

"A truly comfortable hotel"
| Date of Stay: | July 2010 |
| I am from: | London, UK |
| Trip Style: | Group of friends |
| Good Points: | Near the 10, mixed occupancy so never left excluded in a British only group |
| Bad Points: | Food a little pricey and not very good; private beach has too many mobile sellers |
We were 4 in our group and we had reserved two rooms at the Phoenix Park Inn Resort and we found everything very comfy. Candolim is a very quaint place and close to the best destinations such as Colva and Anjuna beaches.
The restaurants provide fresh and excellent food. We loved the Indian dishes served here. We found the food at the neighboring road side restaurants superb and cheap.
We ended up staying another one whole week.

"Good for a budget holiday"
| Date of Stay: | May 2010 |
| I am from: | Perth, Australia |
| Trip Style: | Leisure |
| Good Points: | Cozy rooms with TV and refrigerator; close to beach and shopping areas |
| Bad Points: | Rooms too small, food average |
Loved our Goa stay and although it is terribly HOT in May, we were out to know Goa more than laze around at the hotel. The rooms are small though well furnished. Staff are good but the staff is great all over Goa. Don’t eat your meals here. Rather go out and try the Curry House and Fisherman’s Cove in Candolim or Souza Lobo in Calangute. You will enjoy your food.
Ask for a premium room if you plan to stay long. Regular rooms are not too good. Premium rooms are larger, clean, and the service is better.
Cheap Goa hotel and good overall. For a small family and budget holiday it is good.

"Not what I thought it was "
| Date of Stay: | July 2010 |
| I am from: | Malangwa, Nepal |
| Trip Style: | Family & Kids |
| Good Points: | Breakfast buffest was good |
| Bad Points: | Rooms were damp, pool was neglected, Goan dishes were not well cooked; too far from beach |
Were disappointed as the hotel did not matched with the pictures on the website. We visited during the monsson while the kids have school holiday and we found the rooms very dumpy and smell un healthy...they said it was because of monsoon... The staff are good, but not much to help. Food was okay on some days and terrible on others. Goan dishes were horrible.
The pool was not clean and many Indian people were bathing in their daily clothes.
The only thing that we liked about the hotel was the breakfast buffest which was very good and tasty.
Not what I thought it would be. Disappointing.

"Super Value for Money"
| Date of Stay: | November 2009 |
| I am from: | Gandhinagar, India |
| Trip Style: | Group of friends |
| Good Points: | Great buffet breakfast; large room; super savings; super location |
| Bad Points: | A-la-Carte Food expensive though good; no sea view room |
Was pleasantly surprised with the size of room. There were two rooms actually – one where the TV, fridge and settee was placed and another with the beds. We wanted the TV placed in the bedroom, the hotel staff immediately sent someone to do it without any problems.
The pool is a little small and always crowded. On the negative side, there were mosquitoes in the room that did not go even after installing the anti-mosquito liquid.
What I liked very much in this hotel was the staff and the personalized service. Our stay was made comfortable by these 2 factors. I did not like the noise around the pool – a group of young boys checked in and made a lot of noise.
Minus this one problem, the hotel offers great VALUE FOR MONEY!!
