"An Okay Hotel"
| Date of Stay: | July 2010 |
| I am from: | Bristol, UK |
| Trip Style: | Business |
| Good Points: | Great location, a la carte food is good though pricey, good pool |
| Bad Points: | room service almost non-existent, menu was limited |
I stayed here for 5 days and found that the hotel’s best plus point is its location. It gives you good access to the beach and has a good pool. Some of the dishes on the menu are very good , but better to eat outside. For veg – my wife is a vegetarian – Plantain Leaf is very good. Souza Lobo on the Calngute beach is another lovely restaurant. Bar at the poolside also very good.
Room service is almost non-existent. If you order to have to wait for ever and remind at least 5 times before any action takes place.
After 5 days I discovered that just about next door there is a far better place called NV Guesthouse, which charges £14 for an aircon room and £12 for rooms without aircon. The place is far better and service is superb here.
Where Paradise Village is just okay, the NV Guest house is just phenomenal.
