"COOL NEW HOTEL!!"
| Date of Stay: | February 2011 |
| I am from: | Chandigarh, Delhi |
| Trip Style: | Leisure |
| Good Points: | New hotel, indoor pool, has a nice billiards table, close to the lovely Calangute beach |
| Bad Points: | Too Expensive, needs to work on a couple of things to make things smooth; breakfast was monotonous |
The hotel is new and that itself is a great plus point. The indoor pool is great, but not as impressive as Neelam Grand’s outdoor swimming pool. While the hotel is indeed close to the beach, it is in the neighborhood of a slum and it makes you feel a little fidgety after the dark.
The sightseeing tour the hotel recommended was too hectic and disorienting. I followed up later with a private taxi and liked it better.
The hotel is nice, but for the tariff it charges it should have been much better.

"Not A Place I Would Stay Again "
| Date of Stay: | January 2011 |

| Good Points: | ???? |
| Bad Points: | Everything about this hotel is hopelessly negative |
We had booked in the Neelam Grand, but when we checked-in we were told that due to some mix-up along the line, our rooms have been booked in their sister concern hotel, Neelam The Glitz. We thought nothing about it when we agreed to the change assuming that this would be just a minor inconvenience. Oh boy!!! Is this an understatement!!!!!
This hotel is relatively yet has nothing working in order. And when I say nothing, I mean nothing. Nothing worked – no hot water at night, no Internet, no room service – just pathetic!! To add insult to injury, we were obliged to pay for the New Year “GALA DINNER” which was in fact a crappy buffet not worth more than 500-700 rupees.
We were thoroughly disappointed with the poor show of this place and wanted to leave. They refused to refund us the booking.
I did hear about scams and hotels that make it a business to loot tourists. This is one of them. I would advice everyone to stay away from this hotel. Or you would end up paying a small fortune for a miserable stay and horrible vacation time.

"There is no GLITZ!!"
| Date of Stay: | January 2011 |
| I am from: | London, UK |
| Trip Style: | Family & Kids |
| Good Points: | Location, great property |
| Bad Points: | Staff terrible, walking to the beach feels unsafe fro you have to traverse a slum village; manager is crass and impolite; leaves you upset; far from the beach |
The hotel is very beautiful and initially it fools you completely. It does a lot of stuff with solar power and it is eco-friendly, but most systems are not yet fully functional. This means that guest needs to “adjust a little”.
There is nothing that I could pen down as pleasant here. The rooms were not clean nor maintained, the TV not working, no connection for Internet – in other words this is a grade 10 catastrophe.
I wonder how it got its three star label… it definitely does not deserve it. The tariff is atrocious if you compare it to other hotel half its size and stature that offer double the facilities. We stayed only two days and were tired of complaining about this and that. Decided it is not worth it and moved out. They did not refund our money as we have booked for the whole week. So they are scammers as well. Bad experience.
Definitely I would not recommend this place!
