I did not expect frankly speaking to find this hotel so good. I have stayed in the past in many 5 star hotels and felt I wanted to break away from the sterile and all-the-same feel of this type hotels. It overlooks one of the most beautiful beaches in North Goa the Baga and this adds to its immense attraction. While the food is very good in house, I warmly recommend J&A Italian restaurant and the Lila Café where they serve some great cuisine and very reasonable prices.
The hotel is made to capture the magic of Greek hotels with its interiors painted in white and blue making it very welcoming and European attractive. I reserved my room some 6 months in advance for which I think I got a very good deal.
What really impressed me is that it has beautiful and very well maintained bathtubs with little sweet alcoves that allow you to burn aromatic candles. Ahh! The luxury of soaking in a hot bath in an aromatic bathroom!!!!
The pool area too is superb. The location is amazingly designed to inspire relaxation and romance. In moonlight the pool looks simply mesmerizing.
The linen is changed daily – but you have to ask for it. They provide high quality toiletries and very comfortable and clean (surprised to see that as I expected less) towels. The standard room which I booked for April had air conditioning which was good because the days were very hot. There were instances of power outage but they had generators which took care of the problem.
I also liked that they provided 2 mineral water bottles complimentary every day. The staff are amazing; I came to love the place even more for their hospitality and personalized care is unbelievable.
The only downside is the breakfast which is a bit dull and unimaginative. Other than this everything in Mykonos Blu is JUST SUPERB!!!!!! :D
