"EXCEEDED EXPECTATIONS!!!"
| Date of Stay: | June 2010 |
| I am from: | Delhi, India |
| Trip Style: | Family & Kids |
| Good Points: | Great rooms, good service, lovely food |
| Bad Points: | Sunbeds are limited in number |
We walked in and thought we are reserving an average budget hotel. The place far exceeded our expectations. Rooms are big with a sofa in the living room where our son slept comfortably. The bedroom is air conditioned, but in February we did not need it much.
The pool is good and they have a smaller one for kids which my son could not get enough; he was in the pool hours together every day and the staff were always watchful and attentive.
Food was very good especially the Goan fish curry and rice. Make it a point to go to Souza Lobo restaurant on Calangute beach and try there sorpotel and xacuti – phenomenal!!
There is a south Indian restaurant close by but is very expensive. Another good restaurant is Plantain Leaf for vegetarians.
Ticlo far exceeded our expectations; will return next year for our Goa vacation.

"Luxury for peanuts!!"
| Date of Stay: | March 2010 |
| I am from: | Hyderabad, India |
| Trip Style: | Romantic/Honeymoon |
| Good Points: | Everything – room tariff, facilities, location, staff, room size, room service, food – you name it |
| Bad Points: | Not anything I remember |
If for nothing else, this place is great for its superb location. It is not only that it is close to the two most famous and loved beaches in North Goa but also for the fact that it is a stone throw away from the bazaar where you get every type of clothes, jewelry and souvenirs; also surrounded by lovely restaurants that offer excellent food at budget prices.
Bang opposite there is this great place called Infanteria where you get superb food and pastries of 5-star quality. They also have a very impressive wine menu – though extremely expensive.
Ticlo organizes live entertainment night most Fridays and Saturdays; very apt and very Goan.
The rooms are comfortably large and have a drawing room and bedrooms. Bathrooms have hot water. The housekeeping is prompt and bedsheets are changed daily.
I don’t think it can get any better than this at the tariff they charge per room!!

"Surprisingly beautiful and good!"
| Date of Stay: | September 2010 |
| I am from: | Turku, Finland |
| Trip Style: | Family & Kids |
| Good Points: | Exceeds expectation, nice pool and sunbeds, lovely poolside restaurant, great staff, a lovely dog called Steffie and 4 beautiful grey shorthaired cats, good food, phenomenal location; every room has a living space, refrigerator and cable TV |
| Bad Points: | Room service a little slow |
The location of this place is simple phenomenal. You can reach Calangute beach within 10 minutes and Baga about 30 minutes. Both amazing beaches full of fun and frolic. The hotel has a medium size pool right in the middle of the property which is homely and very comfortable. The poolside restaurant means you can climb out of the pool have your lunch and dip in again without any hassles.
The rooms are aircon and there is a lovely ante room where you have sofa, TV, refrigerator and a multi-purpose washing basin. We asked the management to shift the TV in the bedroom for we like watching TV in bed, they immediately got to it even if it is meant to rewire the cabling again. We really appreciated the gesture.
We loved the dog Steffie – a very friendly sweet animal. There are 3-4 cats there two which photograph particularly well and extremely friendly. I love cats and therefore loved Ticlo even more for this.
They organized two full day sightseeing trips. The trips were okay; we touched all the important and famous places in North and South Goa. Even went for the cruise on Mandovi River which is an amazing experience. We did not like it very much however, for the buses were non-ac and it was hot during the trip. The cost however was very low – less than $9 per head.
I will definitely go back to this place. Cannot be better value for your money.
