"Good place!!"
| Date of Stay: | April 2010 |
| I am from: | Mumbai, India |
| Trip Style: | Group of friends |
| Good Points: | Rooftop restaurant was superb; big rooms |
| Bad Points: | Food was not so great, especially the Goan specialties |
We loved the place, as the rooms were big when we expected something modest for the price. The rooftop restaurant is amazing; beautiful idea, well designed and well maintained. Food is good generally speaking but we did not like the xacuti or the sorpatel. Mapusa has a very famous hotel that specializes in seafood is Kamlabai Restaurant close to Mapusa Market and Mapusa Residency. It is also much cheaper.
Close by there is beautiful street side market where you can get lovely stuff for next to nothing. We got a 2 feet long pineapple for just Rs.35/- which in the end we could not eat – it was so much!! There are lovely shops here where you can buy garmets and souvenirs for your friends back home.
Overall a good place!
