"SUPERB VACATION LOCATION, OKAY HOTEL!"
| Date of Stay: | October 2010 |
| I am from: | Chennai, India |
| Trip Style: | Solo Traveler |
| Good Points: | Lovely beach closeby, cheap rooms, colonial ambinacev |
| Bad Points: | TV sets outdated with lost remotes, no drinking water in the room, air conditioner is at least two decades old and noisy, housekeeping does not visit daily |
The hotel is nice, the beach – the Carmona-ZAlor beach - is nice and quiet. In fact our stay was great only for the beauty of the beach. The accommodation is basic. Vinod is a great guy here who can get you the best deals – look him up before you book the apartments. Food at hotel not so great; recommend Casmy’s which is within walking distance. For drinks try Rosie’s bar which just outside the hotel – great place.
The breakfast free consists of bread and butter only; if you ask, they will add omelet to it or alternatively puri bhaji. Very sad that you have to ask for this. If you have a vehicle go out to eat; you will get better food at cheaper rates. Try Cavelossim – you need to have a vehicle to reach there.
Beds are very hard and plenty of mosquitoes no matter what you do.
The hotel is best for foreigners. It had rough edges, but overall it is okay.
