Good Points: : Staff were nice; location only good if you want total isolation
Bad Points: Too far from anything in Calangute, hot water available only on request, no phone or TV in the room, room too basic, room not as on Web which had very misleading photos
Comment:

Booked here for 10 days but checked out next day after spending the day searching for another hotel. It was as bad as that. Shocked by the difference from what we saw on the Net, I could not bear to stay at this place. Rooms was too basic, though clean. The toilet was not separated from bathroom; even so the room was too, too small and NOT clean. Very inconvenient system about hot water; they would provide it, but you have to tell a staff member to turn it on meaning you need to hunt for one every time you need hot water.

The beach is about 10 minutes away, but the approach road terrible. There is no transport available around this place, which is very frustrating as well. Food is terrible and super expensive.

I do not have one good word for this place. You can call it peaceful, in an odd and isolated way.

Not recommended for a vacation as it is super depressing!

I had reserved 12 days in this place and looked forward to a lovely holiday. It was not to be. This is not my first time to India and this is to clarify that I am sensitized to the Indian standard of luxury. So this bad review is not because I am basically comparing European standards with that of Indian hospitality.

The rooms were miserable – while on the Net they look large and inviting, in reality they are small and very basic. But this would also be okay had it not been for the rock hard bed and completely stained bed linen. The washroom was small and dirty as well. There was no toilet paper provided even after we asked for it. There was no hot water on the tap; you had to ask them for it in advance.

Gabriel is a grouchy person with absolutely no manners. He came and sat uninvited at our dinner table without shirt. He insisted on cash down for everything ordered.

Left after two days of torture; found a place twice as good at less the cost Gabriel was charging and the first thing I wanted to ensure is writing this review so others do not go through the nightmare I went.

Comment:

It spoilt my vacation totally. Went in June, which was off season. This was my mistake of course. Goa is dead off season – no water sports, no beach shacks, no junk on the road to buy nothing. The sea of also too rough to bathe in.

Even so, if the hotel would have been good it would have made up somehow. Flew in by Kingfisher – a very pleasant flight – and went straight to my hotel, which was a disaster from day 1. The first shock was the room which was totally unkempt and dirty. The bedsheet was laundered but stained all over. The toilet was very odd and small. Cockroaches were all over, which really gave me the creeps.

Food was very expensive and tasteless. Ended up eating from a hotel across the road named Mirch Masala, which was thousands times better and about 50% less in cost. I reserved 7 days but left after 2 days. They refused to refund me the unused time. I hate it when people do this. It is like blackmail. Anyway, I left inspite of losing 4 days paid stay. Really not worth the trouble!

Definitely NOT RECOMMENDED! This is a terrible place – cheap in all the negative ways!
